Management Biographies

Matthew R. Trimble
Administrator

Matt has spent his entire professional career serving residents at The Saint Elizabeth Home. In 2001, he was responsible for overseeing the development of the new nursing home in East Greenwich and for helping residents in Providence successfully transfer to the new home. 

Under Matt's watchful eye, The Saint Elizabeth Home has achieved deficiency-free status from the Rhode Island Department of Health, and national accreditation with commendation.  Matt served as project leader of an interdisciplinary team that researched and chose an electronic medical records provider for The Saint Elizabeth Community.  Electronic medical records were implemented at Saint Elizabeth Home in the summer of 2007.

Matt is an active member of (and professionally certified by) the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA).  He is a past president of the Rhode Island Chapter of ACHCA and has previously served as vice president and treasurer.  Matt is presently treasurer of the Rhode Island Association of Facilities and Service for the Aging and serves on its Executive Leadership Team.  He graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in health management and policy.

Andrea Smith
Director of Nursing Services

Andrea Smith, a 15 year employee of The Saint Elizabeth Home, manages a 24-hour, 115-person staff of caregivers.She reports directly to the administrator and is a member of senior staff for the Home.

She is a nursing graduate of the Community College of Rhode Island and is certified in gerontology.

In addition to her full-time capacity, Andrea volunteers as a member of the Urban League Guild.

Kathy Parker
Director of Admissions

Kathy is responsible for assisting families and potential applicants with the admissions process within the Saint Elizabeth Community since 1997.  She’s a graduate of Salve Regina University, and has been working within the healthcare industry since 1992. 

Meghan Coffey, RN
Admissions Coordinator

Meghan Coffey is a graduate of Rhode Island College with a BS in Nursing.  She joined the staff at Saint Elizabeth Home in July 2005, and has worked with individuals needing short term rehab, long term care, and specialized dementia care.  Meghan brings that direct care experience to her role as Admissions Coordinator.


 Frank O'Brien, PHR
 Human Resources Manager

Frank is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a BS in Business Management, and a concentration in Human Resource Management.  He earned his Professional in Human Resource Certificate (PHR) certificate through Human Resource Certificate Institute. With more than 6 years experience in health care, he is responsible for the management of human resources at Saint Elizabeth Home, Saint Elizabeth Court, and Saint Elizabeth Place.
